We wanted something different, perhaps because we were different, always looking to the margins. We wanted to create a place were everyone could encounter the good news of God’s scandalous love for humanity. So our church family endeavors to create expressions of worship that become tangible encounters with God. Through the study of the word, the sacraments, art, music and the prayers we are curating a holy space were everyone can encounter the living Christ.

It was Chicago in the early 90’s when we met, fell in love, married and went to Bible school, we’ve been on the journey to follow the Jesus way of living ever since. In late 2000, we started First Love Church, we’ve been faithfully loving our city and her people ever since.
Join us for a Sunday online where without gender bias the good news of the Jesus way of living will be shared. We will worship together, and receive the holy sacraments, at the table where everyone is welcome.

Our story began when we answered the call to help people of all ages develop a meaningful relationship with Christ and grow in spiritual formation. Our worship is centered around the preaching of the Sacred word, the participation in holy communion, the giving of resources to the life of the church, and the communal celebration of who God is and where we are seeing LOVE transform us.
